Nana's Garden

Nanas Garden back in 1958
This brings back many Memories.  As a child of 3 years old, I used to walk from the cottage in the distant in the photo up this narrow county road by myself.  Mum and Nana would have a time and Mum would go out the front, wait for Nana to come out the front and then off I would go.  My Mum was pregnant at the time, and she would rest while I was with my Nana.  When I arrived, I had to pick a bunch of flowers to take inside and place in a vase, so I was called the Flower Child.  This photo was enlarged from a very small 2" x 3" photo that my mother had taken using a Boxer Camera.

Early this month, I came across Black with 2, and loved the colours to create a page
for September, See Above, being BLACK with the 2 Purples and Green as shown.

So here is mine..... I have used some Kaisercraft Paper, Lilac Avenue Collection I had, (the first collection I thought of to go with these colours), Placed some Black Card Stock behind after cutting a circle out of the Purple, heavily distressed both sides of the circle and the outside edge, coloured the white edge with "Timeless Lilac" Glimmer Mist.  These 2 pieces were stitched onto the Black with Black thread on my sewing machine, the Green circle being stitched on also.
THE LARGE FLOWERS - were created from May Arts Ribbon from my on-line store http://www.njoyfullcrafts.com.au/ by gathering  at the edge,  http://www.njoyfullcrafts.com.au/category_s/1857.htm?searching=Y&sort=13&cat=1857&show=100&page=1  and
adding some Brads and other embellishments.
The smaller flowers were from my store and I coloured them a little with Glimmer Mist.
Placed some Leaf Garland from Green Tara underneath, some Pearls, a few more bits and pieces most from my store and some from my stash.
I love this page and had tons of fun creating it.
